Europe Trip October/November 08

Posted on November 2, 2008 at 9:11 AM

Since early October I have been working in Europe, teaching and encouraging churches and church leaders. So far I have been in Tallinn Estonia, where we had our 2nd Conference called Grace Conference. It was a great time and about 5,000 people attended over the 2 nights. It was an awesome time and gave people an experience of what the church can look like - a church of hope, influence and opportunity. The church in Europe has great potential especially by releasing the younger generation to begin their calling to serve God in the House.

Since then I have been traveling in Holland where I have been in a few churches - mostly visiting churches where I have already built relationships. Europe is in great need of direction in the church, where many church meetings are viewed as irrelevant and outdated. This can be adjusted but there needs to be a willingness to change form what is tired and outdated to a relevant and 21st century approach. Where this approach is adapted churches are growing and people are flourishing and living lives of potential and increase.

My passion is to see the Church across Europe begin to finds its reason and purpose for existence, which is to be a positive influence to all people, and to lead them to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

I've been in Portugal this past weekend (2nd November 08) and it has been a great time. The church I visited in Loures, CCC Cidade is a great church full of atmosphere and people who are passionate about serving Jesus. The church is a young generation church and is relevant to the needs of a religious community that has been bound in superstition for centuries. These churches are the hope for a greater future for Europe - a hope that I believe in and desire to see established in every nation in Europe.

Well I'm off to Spain tomorrow and will keep you posted - after that, back to Holland/Finland/Sweden/Denmark and finally home on December 3rd.

Cheers Mate
