The Trip Continues

Posted on November 17, 2008 at 2:31 AM

My last post ended with 'To see the Kingdom of God you must be born again', referring to the reason or purpose for God to give us a second chance through Jesus Christ, and to engage ourselves in a life changing opportunity. This opportunity comes with the power of God, the Authority of God and the Kingdom of God through Christ, to be an indwelling and empowering blessing to build the Church and it's people, to become mature unto all the fullness of God.

Lately I have become a Bob The Builder disciple with his message of Can We Build It - Yes We Can, as my new church motto throughout Europe, and funnily enough everywhere I mention this the people are all hip to Bob and his powerful building theology.

The Church today in Europe needs to understand this as a Kingdom thinking mindset, that we have been 'born again' not to attend Church, but to build the Church with a whatever it takes attitude and mentality. The Church in Europe is crippled with apathy and laziness, and minds that are dull and inactive toward the Kingdom of God, and this brings with it a powerlessness to build and to bring change, and undermines vision and hope for the future.

I spoke a message Sunday night in Finland about the Authority of Jesus Christ, and how He has all authority in Heaven, on Earth and under the Earth, and also explained the fact the He has given this authority to His Church. John 1:12 says 'to anyone who believes He gives the authority to become children of God'. This is not to build our own kingdom and castle, but to 'seek first the kingdom of God' and build His House and then all things will be added to us.

However, many of us get this the wrong way around and seek first our own interests, based on our own human will, and never understand that the problem is that God builds the Kingdom on His Will and Purpose, not ours.

Let us all join in with Bob the Builder and begin to learn the principles of a Kingdom Builder, and let us come to the Church with an attitude of expectancy, passion and unity, with one voice together answering the call - Can We Build It? Yes We Can!
